Four days of energy, parties and shows help city lose its no-fun reputation

In a very un-West Coast display of unabashed delirium, fans lined a red carpet outside GM Place's Gate 10 for hours before the show. There was plenty of screaming and hair shaking when anyone stepped out of a limousine, although because most of the musicians dressed down and everyone else -- including many fans -- dressed up, the hair shaking might have been as much from confusion as from excitement.
